Re. litigiousness: wife Karen says that in 2013 ferrying kampers in the fabled Kamp Kars (e.g., ancient Brit saloons, decrepit Chrysler Town & Country) and Fritz Rudat's truck would be disallowed. Also, she says, lots of guys of all ages hanging around naked would be a goldmine for lawyers.

What about baseball cards? Do they still exist? How could they when you can Google stats and pictures on your smartphone. And how could you trade an Elnmer Valo for a Robin Roberts? Instagram? Gimme a break!

100 Cellphones on the tentline? On the baseball bench between innings? In the lodge during performances - or Saturday services? I would hope not!

I'm certainly up for a reunion in '15 - KeeKeeWah for the organizing committee. Hardly know where to begin on the changes that would have to be made if Kewanee was still functioning - for openers tuition would have to be off the chart to cover the cost of liability insurance. Fireworks on the... (more)

Today, one couldn't pump water from the lake that was ok for brushing teeth but not drinking; things would be much changed in the kitchen where the twin workers counted meat balls onto the serving platter then licked their fingers after each count, bet we would all have to use gloves too; we would... Just saw the Steve Bush video. How great to see all our friends in their prime! Am up for a 2015 reunion. Have racket, will travel. Re "not anymores": Gunneling and jousting with padded canoe paddles during King Neptune would probably be judged over the edge today. KKW

Hey Donn, I understand that it was created (founded, built, and kampers and kounselors recruited) in 1915 and opened in the summer of 1916. But then again, I wasn't there at the time...
