Tiger,

This is such a coincidence. On Saturday, we were visiting old friends, one of which is a rower (as in crew) as is my wife Donna. He recommended that book to her. 64 years without ever hearing about it, then hearing about twice in three days. KKW to you too.

Donna and I are on vacation on a lake in upstate New York and took out a canoe. I discovered that a very viable alternative to the J-stroke is taking one stroke for every two or three by the person in the bow. Add this to the list of things I wish I had learned when I was younger.

Mike Corson posted a random rhetorical question on facebook today and then I saw a daddy long legs on our deck. It's strange how certain things bring back vivid memories of those amazing summer days at Kamp. Kee Kee Wah!

Fellow Kampers. A shameless bit of self-promotion, but before I do, I want to you know that I have already quit my day job. My new novel THE LOBSTERMAN'S DAUGHTER is out in paper (Amazon) (http://tinyurl.com/lobster-paper) & Kindle (http://tinyurl.com/lobster-kindle). The Maine coast is not Lake... (more)

You may find this list of the 50 most amazing summer camps in the U.S. of interest. It appears to list only existing kamps. If not, it would rate a "Jera wah wah...".

At one of those "girlie shows" (or, perhaps, at a similar venue in Fleetville) one of the young ladies took the eyeglasses of someone from KK & put them in her private parts. Would the person whose glasses they were please step forward.

This is for Fred Half: when I went on my senior trips (1952 and 53), we started out in Endicott, outside of Binghamton and a few miles upstream of Owego. Maybe the starting point had changed by your senior year. And the memories never do fade! I of course mainly remembered the fair in either... (more)

Happy Passover. On a recent excursion with my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson from Syracuse to Ithaca, NY I noticed a sign to Owego, NY (21 miles) and of course that brought back memories of canoe trips on the Susquehanna River. I know the Senior trip started at Owego and ended I believe at... (more)
