The directory is amazing! WFIL I did notice that the address for Carl Caplan is wrong. I will try to get the correct address for you.

WFIL is the engine which has been driving this train. The directory he produced is magnificent. We hope it will inspire many of you to come to the Reunion. Now that he has found so many alumni through advanced technology, we hope that you will help us reach out to other kk'ers to encourage them to come as well.

Everyone who requested a Kamp Directory should be receiving their copy within the next week or so. Thanks to all for your encouragement and good wishes. The reunion plans are going apace. I enjoy hearing from all of you. More than 200 alums have checked in so far. We will soon be starting an effort to contact the stragglers. Keep spreading the word. KEE KEE WAH

Let me be the first of many to acknowledge the excitement I felt on receiving the 2011 KK directory and the reunion notice. To realize that there is so much camaraderie and true friendship 38 years after Kamp Kewanee’s last summer in 1973 is beyond the pale. Kee Kee Wah to WFIL and the reunion organizing committee. I can’t wait to see you all on Sept 10!

WIFL you are a genius. That Google map and all it's hidden links is a work of art. See you in September.

Someday that lake will be drained and people will stand around wondering why so many rocks with holes in the middle ended up there. The experts will speculate that it was some kind of tribal ritual, maybe an offering to the gods, maybe child sacrifice, but no one will really know the answer that a bunch of kids tried to get these rocks to float.

My favorite "Key to the Lake" memory was that one of the counselors brought a key made one out of concrete. It was about 2 foot (or larger?) square with a central hole where there was a piece of rusted pipe. It didn't float for very long as I recall. I'm sure it's still there.

Very much looking forward to seeing everyone at the Reunion next September. I think a Key to the Lake should be required for admission and that a discount should be offered to anyone whose Key stays afloat for three minutes. I already have mine constructed and successfully tested,a piece of highly porous Vermont granite that will float indefinitely. Exact replicas are available for just $9.95 plus shipping and handling. (Sorry, limit is five Keys per order.)

See where the Kewaneeans are now living with this new interactive GoogleMap. There are about 750 addresses in our database, and we have heard back from 150 alumni regarding the reunion. After the New Year, we will be sending out a list of people we are still trying to notify. Spread the word!

To Hank Mosler I must confess that I've moved my tennis game indoors. MUCH too cold here over last 10 days (the waterfall at our house froze, & I'm not sure that our fish look too lively).

Had lunch yesterday, here in Knoxville, with visiting Fred Half & his wife Cherie. They are traveling to see friends & relatives (not always the same, you know) & following the Stanford women's basketball team (who lost to the TN Lady Vols last Sunday).

Glad to see Tiger Levy is working on his soft court tennis game. We play on the same courts here in Sarasota, FL. Note to Ricky Vatz: I have been working on counter measures for your chop shot. Am bring some new weapons to deploy on the Ace Courts. Can't wait to see all of you in September. I am thinking of flying in on Friday so bring your racquets, and we can play Friday afternoon or Saturday. You can locate me at the Ace Center, tent 13. PS - Some good leads on the 1948 Tent 1 picture. Fun!!! Kee Kee Wah!

The enthusiasm is palpable. A big KEE KEE WAH to the more than 120 KK alums who replied to the "Save the Date" 2011 Kamp Kewanee Reunion emailing. I'll be sending around a list soon. If anyone did not receive their "Kamp Kewanee Reunion" email (we sent it out last week), let me know at (steve@sjklein.com).

I haven't been on the site in a few years and got a great pleasure from seeing Steve Buch's family videos. Those were my years. Thanks for sharing, Steve and hi to you and Kathy and your family.

I also was glad to see the photo album posted by the Ratners (Hi, guys!). Bittersweet memories.

WFIL, thanks for keeping these years alive for us all.

Looking forward to KK reunion. Happy to help if I can do from TN (definitely NOT moving north--played tennis this morning outside on clay!). Hope all have a great Thanksgiving. Driving to DC to stay with daughter (wife Karen's "girl"friend from Paris flying in) & then a couple of days in Phila to check on my father.
