It's been two months since anyone has posted, so it's time to jump in. Kamp would have started by now, and we would be eagerly anticipating fireworks from the raft on Fourth of July. We're well into our annual six month residency in Center Ossipee, New Hampshire, which is on the eastern edge of the state, south of the White Mountains. As far as I know, only WFIL and myself are NH residents, and he lives at the other side of NH. New Hampshire is quite beautiful, with lots of wildlife (bears, moose, deer, porcupines, etc.) and not many people. So, if you find yourselves in this neck of the woods please get in touch.KKW,
Bob
It was great to grab lunch and catch up with Phil Siegle today! He is in town for his 50th high school reunion. We were tent mates in 1960 in Tent 14 with Paul Urken and Kounsellor Bernie Richards.

Anyone think of Ed Ammerman when Middle Tennessee State won their big game in the NCAA tournament? The Easterners gave Ed a bit of grief over it all, and he's won his long-awaited vindication!!!
KKW MTS!
I knew Ralph Levy in L.A. for several years - mainly because he professionally trained Jon Lovitz, one of my previous acting students at UC Irvine and now a fine comic actor and good friend. Small world... KKW!
Kamper Ralph Levy was a director and producer of the Ed Wynn Show. This could be why that photo (which I also recall) was there.I used to visit Ralph in London when he lived in Mayfair. He was a terrific and very talented fellow helpful to me when I was in feature films.
What was the connection between KK and Ed Wynn, the vaudeville and movie actor? I was watching Anne Frank on TV last evening. Distinctly recall a signed photo of him in mess hall. http://m.imdb.com/title/tt0052738/fullcredits/cast?ref_=m_ttfc_3
P.S. We are back in Lima this coming October en route to La Paz, Bolivia. We will be at Miraflores there for two nights.
I have been to Lima many times. The last two times (since 2011) we stayed at the Miraflores Hotel, on the coast, about six miles from central Lima. In the Malecon de la Reserva residential district, it is a business hotel with every convenience, good food and great ocean views.Miraflores Hotel

Johanna. I don't know if you are still listening, but I have remembered Johnny all my life. I came to Kewanee in 1951. He was the first person my age I learned had died. I always wondered what had happened. As recently as Fall 2015, I asked Dick Guggenheim if he knew what why Johnny had died. I can't picture his face, but when I think of Johnny, it always gives me a warm feeling. I guess I still miss him to this day. I don't have specific memories of him, but feeling as I do, he must have been a friend of mine when I was a little boy of 7 or 8.
Best to you and to Johnny's memory.
Bill
Also,
I realize many have moved (or passed away) since Steve Klein's amazing Kewanee Alumni Directory published in 2011.
However, for the record, (whether or not anyone cares) we have moved to 1515 The Fairway, Apt 423H, Rydal, PA 19046.

Lorna and I just played Sam Strauss' videotape of Lee Kalcheim's "History of Kamp Kewanee" at the 2016 reunion for our daughter Whitney and her family: it was absolutely hysterical!, just as it was at the Ambler Inn!
