The google map directions are probably better, but here are the directions to Ace Center that were included with the registration packet.

I want to assure everyone that although I live right near the buckle of the Bible Belt, I haven't a spark of righteousness about me. I used to think that my Sunday morning tennis game was much improved whilst my wife Karen was in church; I now think it has more to do with how long it takes for ibuprophen to kick in.

Will be glad to see all at reunion.

Yes we were lucky it was not last weekend, but then again I am looking at another hurricane coming this way to Florida next week. Who knows what could happen, just hoping that it turns north and I can get out of here

Directions to the ACE Center: go to http://maps.google.com/ and type in ACE Conference Center and click on the address that comes up. Presto! You can press the minus button to expand the map, the plus button to get closer. Click "Directions" and enter where you're coming from and you'll get both a map with a route marked on it and verbal directions, turn by turn. (And if you play around a bit you can get alternate routes.) Press "print" and you'll get a copy to put in your glove compartment.

Charles, I am quite saddened to learn of John's passing. He was a really wonderful person. I remember how kind he was to me in the late '60's when both he and I were living in Manhattan.

There are still plenty of rooms available at the Ace Center for September 10th, the night of the reunion dinner, but the Ace Center staff has been giving out conflicting information. Don't believe them if they say they are booked up for that night!

When making reservations, please call during the week and be sure to talk directly with Cheryl O'Neill. The Ace Center phone number is 610-825-8000. Tell Cheryl you are part of the Kewanee Reunion.

Have been away for a month. Am so sorry, Charles, to hear about Johnny's passing. I remember all sorts of GOOD things about him. But I also remember the day he got beaned in a Kounselor baseball game, the sound of the "thud," & how he went down like a sack of potatoes. He was OK, but the Kamp (Jimmy A, I think) got batting helmets right away.

I will always remember Johhny's great smile and the twinkle in his eye. He was a great role model and mentor to all of us. Johnny incorporated all that was good in Kamp Kewanee.

Chas,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Johnny's death. He was such a great all-around guy and mentor. He showed us the true Kewanee spirit. I will never forget how, at a previous reunion, he led a group of us on a march through the hallways of the hotel singing "For I am a Pirate King, for it is, it is a glorius thing to be a Pirate King" He will be missed by all who knew him. Breezie
