Not amazing at all considering the memories of years at 7 and 8 etc

I just saw this obituary in the Philadelphia Inquirer for William (Bill) Goff. I have to assume this is the same kamper from 1958 and 1959 since it mentions that he grew up in ELkins Park and the Kamp Directory also says Elkins Park. It's amazing that I can remember Kewanee names from 65 years ago, but can't remember the name of a person I met 10 minutes ago! Happy New Year!

Sad news about Billy Ostrow who was a giant among boys at KK. May his memory be a blessing.

Many thanks to WFIL and his committee for a great reunion at the Joseph Ambler Inn. The accommodations, food, drinks and WFIL's memorabilia were outstanding. The best part, the absolute best part, was sharing memories with others who have been a part of KK history. We hope you all arrived home safely and enjoy the rest of summer.

Hello kkers
Have a great reunion. I won’t be there, but I will be thinking of you. Keep the kamp fire burning. All the best.

I want to add that Alan loved his. years at KK 1965-70 I believe. He kept in touch with so many of us from those years. He will be missed.

I am very sad and devastated to report that my dearest old KK friend, Alan Kaufmann, was murdered by his stepson in his McClean home on Tuesday. I had talked to Alan earlier that day. He had retired from the government on Dec. 23 and was looking forward to continuing his education, writing sports stories, exercising and living the retired life. I last saw him when I came to Chevy Chase for my HS reunion. We had a fun lunch in Bethesda.
I learned about this terrible news from a school friend of mine who became friends with Alan at Harvard. You can google Alan Kaufmann if you want more information. This is just so so sad.

Sorry to report the passing of Ronny Watts. You will recall his basketball prowess at KK and with the Boston Celtics. Dave

My father Dr. Richard D. Bush purchased the Kamp in the 1970's with a group of other investors. My father has since passed. I have a collection of vinyl albums from 1952-1957 approximately. If someone could reach out to me, I would like to pass them on so others can take a walk down memory lane. My email is bushjackie@aol.com.

Today is June 2nd 2022.

From time to time I have the urge to look back on Kewanee memories and thanks to the internet I can afford myself of the opportunity--which I did today. I end each session with "When the moon shines" as i did today. I also think of my father who paid the bills for myself AND my 2 brothers: Mal and Steve. So in the mid forties my Dad was shelling out $2000. per summer in the MID FORTIES!! Thanks Dad ;

So sad to report that Mike Corson as passed away. Mike was a CIT my first year at KK in 1957 and sat with this terrified kid and helped me get through a thunderstorm my second night at KK. Our paths crossed many years later professionally when I walked into an office for a job interview in Philly and we recognized each other immediately. Mike was a great guy. Here is the

Has anyone heard from Dave Loewenstein
lately? He lived in Potomac, MD, and was in my tent back in 1949. He still has a voice mail, but he never replies.

Some sad news: Our wonderful colleague and great friend Gordy Lawrence passed away last night. We have indelible memories of his baseball exploits, his creative puns and his loyal friendship.

Sad to report the passing on 8/13 of my cousin, Michael "Harrisburg" Coleman. The last conversation I had with him was about Kamp and especially former Kampers. It was one of his favorite topics. I will post a link to his obituary when it is published.

a friend of mine asked me to list 18 large photos of camp KEWANEE counselors and some kids activities for him on ebay and while looking up the history I found this site and didn't know if its any interest for you. They are from the late 40's to mid 50's and are 8 x 10" and 11" 14"

Now that we have moved from Pittsburgh to Davidson, NC, Marilyn and I figured it time today to check out how my KK canoeing skills survived after being in storage for 60 years. My J-stroke still works well. No chewing tobacco spitting from the stern is allowed by Town environmental laws. Come and visit when in Charlotte area....
